Road to maturity

I can't believe I'm *say the name* Seventeen™ (and yes I am kpop trash) Being seventeen is like the transition from being a kid to an adult. As much as I want to watch cartoons that I'm way too old for and get out of doing things because I'm still young, I also want to be treated as an adult too. Do you know those times when you just want to have even just a little bit of freedom and maybe have your opinions recognized and not dismissed? This is what's hard for a person who's only turning 17 (me) who's confused if she should still act like a kid or be more grown up which I try to be but I'm just immature. (I'm sorry I can't help it)

Valentine's Day: Expectations vs Reality

Expectations:

When it's valentine's day, you always expect rainbows and unicorns and all that cute stuff where you dress up in a totally cute outfit and make hearts for that special someone.

I tried making a cute valentine. I made hearts and a sign that says will you be mine. I tried I really tried but you know what, I think I'm missing something......oh right I don't have that special someone.

Reality:
I'm alone as I'll ever be and if you need me I'll be in my room moping.

Okay nevermind i tried making a joke and it sucks but honestly who said valentine's day were only for couples right?? I think there's a misconception about valentine's day because it's not all about spending your time with your special someone. It's just a day full of love so why not spend it with with family and friends right?? And if ever you are going to be bitter on valentine's why not be bitter together with friends right?? You'll have more fun with friends than to be alone on the day of love.

Say Goodbye

When I first saw this sweater, I instantly fell inlove with it. Maybe it was because of the color, or the statement, or maybe both that I've bought it impulsively not thinking if I can wear it here in the Philippines when it's 35 degrees hot. (In my defense the color of this sweater is the color of the year)

Dreaming

I've always wanted to be a model but I've never been the pretty one. I'm just your average girl with her own set of flaws. I'm no different than anyone. For the past few years I've made a fool of myself thinking that I'm not good enough. I've learned to accept somehow by just laughing it off.

Dog days are over

When I was a kid I always dreamed of being a cowgirl and maybe this outfit is a sign. I can just picture it. Me, everyday in checkered shirts and boots. All I need now is a hat and I can be an authentic cowgirl what do you think?

Boots-all-day-month

 

I know it's been a long time since I put up a new blog post but then school has been hectic. A lot has happened but and it's only the first term. So for now that my schedules not so much hectic as before, here's a not so new outfit that's perfect for the ber months or in my case the boots-all-day months!

The Color of Trees

I admit parkas aren't really for Philippine weather but when it rains wearing a parka is bearable I swear! I've been waiting for a time when I can wear these type of jackets but because I am a very impatient woman. I decided to wear it now. It's not as hot as you think when you wear it I promise especially when you wear it at night. I also wanted to wear it because I've been dreaming of a bit of military inspired outfit. 

So where can I get a time machine?

When I was checking my closet for what to wear and I realized that I have so much clothes that I haven't even worn half of it, I decided that everytime I go somewhere I would wear something that I haven't worn or I haven't worn in a long time.

Rainy days and raincoats

When you live in a place where it rains even on a sunny day, it's good to be prepared with a good old fashion raincoat. But in this generation where fashion continues to evolve, you got to admit raincoats aren't really fashionable right? Well.....wrong!

Colors of Summer

Technically summer has already ended here in the Philippines because it's already the start of June but since I couldn't get over that in fact summer is ending and I have to start my senior year in high school (it's shocking I know), here's my last hurrah wearing a summer outfit.

What you see is what you get

If I had gone to close up forever summer, I would've worn this but I didn't. Honestly, I'm not the type of girl who likes going to concerts, I'm more of the type to just read a book in a cozy cafe drinking coffee or tea. Before you say something I just want to say that I already know what you're thinking. I'm boring. I'm just the kind of person who doesn't like loud and stuffy events. 

This is what I call vintage

After seeing the jumpers that one of my favorite bloggers, Luanna of  www.le-happy.com had been posting, I was pretty determined to find the perfect jumper for myself. Alas I had found it, not in any old clothing stores (because that would be too common) but in my aunt’s attic where she was finding clothes to be sold in a garage sale. I swear to God my mom and my aunt have amazing clothing. When I find one of their clothing I usually keep it for myself (after I ask for their permission of course)

Here’s a post from a random review day wearing random clothing that when put together they make a great outfit. I wasn't really planning on posting this outfit but when I had an opportunity to do a shoot in an indoor parking lot with great lighting, well what the heck let’s do this thing!

If the shoe fits

I'd like you all to meet one of my two new babies (shoes). Here's how we met: I was searching for the perfect sandals in hong kong but wherever I go, I couldn't seem to find The One. I was actually getting ready to give up on finding one (yes I know it's only a sandal but I really love shoes) but when I went to Topshop and saw a hallway full of shoes, let's just say I went a little crazy after that. Long story short I've met the one with him (yes it's a him) sitting in the middle of all the shoe racks just waiting for me.

Playing princess for a day

Every year my plans on my birthday never really go as I had planned it to be. There's always drama at first but then everything calms and all is well. Honestly.....I'm actually the problem. I've always wanted my birthday to be perfect that I've almost ruin it for me every year. Luckily, my family reminds me that I just have to relax and you know, just have fun.

Retro look

Supposedly this outfit is perfect to be used by the bay area but due to circumstances I had to shoot it here which by the way I think went better than I had imagined. The pictures maybe a little dark but I think it gives that calming vibe that goes well with the outfit.

Colors and blurry pictures

One person had commented on one of my posts and it really made me ponder on what I have been doing. I was too caught up in pleasing everyone that I've decided to do basic outfits when it's not really me. It maybe nice once in a while to wear them but what I really like are colors, lot's of colors, and today's blog is about the beauty of mixing colors in one's outfits.

Polka dots

Coordinates are all the rage right now this summer. Not only because it's very comfortable but it's also perfect for those days when you can't think of an outfit to wear because it's already a set so all you have to do is pair it with sneakers, flats or any type of shoes that you want and you're good to go.

Summers and tutus

I love wearing tutus. I always feel like a princess wearing one. It's actually very easy to style because you can wear it with almost any tops. I chose to wear it with this knitted halter top that I got from my mom and I absolutely adore how the colors match.

Take me with you

Oh how I wished I could go to Coachella....too bad I'm from the other side of the world and I wouldn't afford to go to the US just for it. Maybe I could go to Coachella after like 10 years or so? In the mean time I'll be here wearing Coachella inspired outfits just for the heck of it and maybe just maybe I would magically have a ticket to going the US.
